Pray 2022 Churchwide Focus

For 2022, here are the scripture passages, prayers, and goals that our church is pursuing. I hope you are encouraged by the scriptures, which are centered on the Power of the Holy Spirit, Courage, and Love.

The prayers are based on feedback from our congregation, and the goals are from the elders consideration of all the feedback as well as the needs of our church.

2 Timothy 1:7–8 ESV

“for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,”

Acts 1:8 ESV

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Deuteronomy 31:6  ESV

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

John 13:34 ESV

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”

CHURCHWIDE PRAYERS

–That our country can heal from the strong divisiveness currently ongoing.  That God’s good news will unite us all; that we would live by His Word and not be misled by those who try to destroy God.

–That renewal and revival become a local, state and national desire and that we turn from sin and towards Jesus as our Savior.

–That Trinity can grow and bring in more new people to our services and to know Jesus.  That God would stretch us out of our comfort zone so we would be compelled to invite neighbors and others we meet to come to church and consider Jesus.

–That God would draw—and we would invite—families with kids of various ages to Trinity Community Church.

–That we can increase our giving in all ways to those in need, and that we step up more in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.  That God would show us specific ministries in our community He wants our church to serve.  That we would learn about and reach out to Muslims in our community.

–The development of Life-Groups for families, as well as men’s groups and women’s groups, which lead to life-on-life relationships.  Discipleship which leads to testimonies, decisions for Christ, and baptisms.

–That our local body will continue to show that God is worthy to be trusted, followed, praised, and fellowshipped with, in spite of the greatest of threats to health, freedom, and happiness.  Pray that we would be encouraged to seek the LORD in ways more desperate and vital than we have practiced during the peaceful run-up to this present time of trial.

–Strengthening of consistent prayer in our church- for one another, our community, and missions worldwide.

PRAYERFUL GOALS

Our church would grow by at least 5 families as a result of personal invitations.

That we would have 2 Life-Groups going consistently throughout the year.

That God would show us specific ministries in the community we can serve alongside to develop relationships with people who do not know Jesus.

That each person would be use his or her spiritual gifts and individual skills for Christ’s glory.
