Care Workers Share Christ with Children. Children reach out to other Kids.
We can’t emphasize enough how important Care Workers are in the ministry of GlobalFingerprints. When a child is sponsored, they are assigned a GlobalFingerprints Care Worker who meets with them and their family about once a month to assess the child’s well-being.
These Care Workers come from local churches or nearby church plants, and they are deeply committed to sharing Christ with sponsored children and their families, many of whom have not heard the gospel.
Jaren’s Experience-
Jaren is a Care Worker in a largely unreached Southeast Asian country who finds that GlobalFingerprints gives him opportunities to share Christ with children who don’t know Him.
Here’s how he explained his experience to a GlobalFingerprints leader:
Before GlobalFingerprints, Jaren says he had limited resources to offer families. With GlobalFingerprints sponsorship, the children receive food, school tuition, and medical care, providing holistic support. Jaren notes that the door for evangelism is open since GlobalFingerprints cares for the children.
Additionally, sponsorship gives him a reason to maintain regular contact with the families, as Care Workers are tasked with visiting the children monthly. Because GlobalFingerprints is an ongoing ministry, and some sponsored children have been in the program for many years, Care Workers have numerous opportunities to share the gospel.
Jaren also has observed that when one child is sponsored and attends Sunday School and church, they become an evangelist at home, prompting their siblings to start attending church as well. In this way, the gospel spreads throughout the home and into the neighborhood.
We thank God for providing Care Workers with such a heart to care for children and to lead them to Jesus. We also praise God for the incredible gospel, which is simple enough to be shared by children, yet powerful enough to reach those from any spiritual or cultural background.
